Team Lead – Quality Engineering  

Job Description:


Reviews requirements and technical specs. Plans and develops test cases, executes tests, tracks defects, and follows defects through the resolution process until fix is verified and closed. Interacts with Developers, Business Analysts, and Product Management to ensure the quality of the software product. Innovates with regards to technologies, methodologies, and processes that impact quality and the customer experience. Conducts capability/capacity/resource planning. Applies test methodology, engineering, and product knowledge in certification of products. Understands product functionality, data content, and system architecture of the product being tested. Applies technical expertise to complex tasks. Proactively researches new technologies and applies knowledge with a very high degree of creativity. Advises team members of strategies to maximize coverage and minimize testing. Coaches, mentors and leads team in the execution of their tasks. Assists team members in developing goals and holds them accountable by providing feedback and delivering an annual performance review. Assists in maintenance of controlled test environment. Participates in product priority reviews with developers and product management and communicates team priorities to team members. Evaluates quality test tools for implementation. Onboards new applications, hardware, and third party Partners.


Job Requirements:


Bachelor’s degree or the foreign equivalent in a Computer Science, Information Management, Engineering, or Engineering Science plus 3 years of experience in a Quality Engineering occupation. The required experience must include the following experience:


·      2 years with home automation wireless communication protocol such as ZWave;

·      2 years of proven knowledge of different software development life cycles (waterfall, Agile) and quality engineering processes and automation tools;

·      2 years of testing products for release in international markets;

·      2 years of hardware and firmware testing methodologies.
